Description

We are looking for a qualified Accountant to handle, prepare, compute, manage, research and analyze all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business. Additionally, the ideal candidate would maintain transaction data for inventory purchases, sales, receipts and payments. The Accountant will work closely with the CFO and other members of the finance organization to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate holds an accounting or finance degree and is familiar with QuickBooks Online, with a CPA as a plus (but not required). Ultimately, the Accountant's responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company, report on the transactions, and help develop processes to ensure accuracy and control.


Responsibilities

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
  • Bring the books to the trial balance stage
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
  • Enter data, maintain records and financial statements
  • Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
  • Publish financial statements in time
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process
  • Collect, analyze and summarize account information
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc
  • Develop periodic reports for management
  • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures

Requirements

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, especially accrual accounting
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers and high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
